Fit
for a queen! This is a meaningful memento she can pass down to her children.
The last sixpence was minted by Queen Elizabeth in 1967. It was a popular
tradition in the Victorian Era to place a sixpence in the bride's shoe
to bring the couple wealth and good fortune. The tradition has been revived
in recent times, and The Rosemary Company is excited to bring you our
Queen Elizabeth Sixpence Favor. This Queen Elizabeth Sixpence Favor makes
a beautiful and unique Engagement, Bridal Shower, or Wedding token. So
elegant and dainty! An actual sixpence is attached to a tri-fold card,
which contains the Sixpence nuptial rhyme, and the history of the sixpence.
All words are written in a lovely royal blue script on white card stock.
Flowers adorn the front of the card. Card is tucked into a delicate wax
paper envelope and positioned in our Glass
Slipper Place Card Holder for display purposes. Each sixpence gift
is wrapped in a clear cello bag and tied with a sparkling silver ribbon.
When folded, card measures 1 3/4" square. Sixpence gift, when bagged,
measures 4 1/2" tall and 3" wide.
