Weather concerns
in shipping candy, cookies or candles
We
don't recommend that candy, cookies or candles be left outside for any period
of time. These items can be affected by weather, such as dampness,
heat and cold, or exposed to insects, so it is best to have it delivered
to a work address if someone will not be home for delivery. When
the order ships you will receive an e-mail with the UPS tracking
and arrival information, so you may want to make arrangements for
the package to be collected if you are not there. We cannot guarantee
the quality of the candy, cookies or candles if it is delivered to a porch
or left outside.
Please
note if your delivery address for candy orders is over 75 Degrees
Fahrenheit or over 80 Degrees Fahrenheit for candle orders, we may
choose not to ship a package over a weekend to guarantee its arrival
in premium condition. In order to provide customers with products in their original condition, we do not want the orders to sit over the weekend in a warehouse without temperature

Cookies Specifically
We ship ALL chocolate products with Gel Ice Packs between May and October regardless of the destination.
We do not charge anything additional for Ice Packs.

We do NOT guarantee Ground Shipments of Chocolate Products between May and October regardless of destination. We are not responsible for any delays and subsequent melting that may occur for Ground Shipments. Only Premium Air Service is guaranteed by our carrier to arrive to you within the commitment time. |
Please note that if your destination is over 75 Degrees Fahrenheit, we strongly advise that you contact us regarding an appropriate shipping method (Overnight or 2-Day Air*) to ensure proper delivery of your chocolate product. We cannot guarantee your order if you have chosen an inappropriate shipping method (i.e., shipping a chocolate product to FL, NM, AZ, TX or other extremely hot states via Standard Ground during late Spring/Summer.) |
We will contact you if we feel that your product will not arrive safely via the method you have selected. Our goal is to make you happy- melted chocolate is in no one's best interest! Please check local weather conditions to help determine your best shipping option. |
EXTREMELY HOT STATES: We guarantee our products against melting ONLY when shipped via Priority Overnight Shipping. |
Although we take great care in packing and shipping this item, we cannot be responsible for damage if someone is not able to accept the package in a climate controlled environment. If someone is not present at the time of delivery and damage occurs as a result of the delay in claiming the package, the item is not guaranteed. Also, we cannot be responsible for heat damage if you choose an inappropriate shipping method of a chocolate product and it ships via the method you selected. We recommend shipping to a work address or an address where someone will be there to accept delivery. |
